Divisions

The following Combined Divisions are offered at this year's USGO:

 

18+ --- OPEN, A, B, C, D

Women's Singles

All Gender Singles

All Gender Doubles

 

40+ --- OPEN, A, B

All Gender Singles

 

Players are allowed to play in different divisions for singles and doubles as long as their GLTA rankings allow. The two divisions must not be more than one level different (e.g., a player may not play A singles and C doubles).

 

PLEASE NOTE: In the past some of the events have not filled up to the minimum number of entries. If this occurs, we will likely establish a round robin, or we may offer a corresponding event at a similar level.

 

Consolation/Challenge Rounds

We may have time and courts for consolation rounds. If so, players will need to sign up at the tournament desk.

 

The format would be an 8-game pro set with a regular 7-point tiebreak at 8 games all. The consolation finals will follow the main singles scoring format.

 

Scoring Formats

Singles

 

Best of 2 out of 3 sets with regular ad scoring. A 7-point tiebreaker will be played at 6 games all. If sets are split at 1 set each, a 10-point tiebreaker will decide the match. 

Seedings

Seedings will be based on GLTA rankings 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. Seedings will be based on GLTA points for singles and combined GLTA points for doubles and mixed teams.
