  WHAT: Tennis practice that gives beginner/intermediate players a chance to hit a lot of balls and learn some tennis tips.

  Come celebrate the US Gay Open with your GLTF gal pals at the gorgeous  Goldman Tennis Center in Golden Gate Park on Monday of Memorial Day weekend! Come early to watch the USGO finals; then stay and play.
  

  We will be using a compass doubles style format with timed played.  It will be an afternoon of fun tennis.  Sign up with your doubles partner, or we can find one for you! All levels are encouraged to sign up.

  Register by Monday, May 20th - details on playing times/draws will be sent out on the Friday leading up to the event.  If you are already signed up for the USGO tournament, this event is free. For all others, it will be $20 per player.

  Liability Waiver
  

  Participant Liability Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement and Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

  Please Read the following Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk Carefully:

  In consideration of participation in any activity offered by GLTF, I understand that participation is voluntary and I and/or my family (including minor in my care) is physically fit to participate in this activity. I, for myself and/or for a family member signing up for this activity, agree to indemnify and hold GLTF harmless and hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damage, death, personal injury, bodily injury or property damage which I and/or my family member may have or which hereinafter may accrue to me and/or the family member against GLTF, its agents, volunteers, and instructors from and against any liability arising out of or connected in any way with my and/or family member's participation in this activity, even though that liability may arise out of the negligence or carelessness on the part of the person or entities mentioned above.

  I understand that this activity involves risk and that accidents or injuries can occur while I and/or my family member is participating in this activity; knowing the risks, nevertheless, I hereby agree to assume those risks on behalf of me and/or the family member and to release and to hold harmless all of the persons or entities mentioned above whom might otherwise be liable to me and/or the family member (or my heirs, executors, administrators or assignees) for damages. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risks has been freely entered into and is to be binding on my/our heirs, executors, administrators or assigns.

  Gay and Lesbian Tennis Federation (“GLTF”) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, GLTF cannot guarantee that you or your family member will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending a GLTF program or venue could increase your risk and your family member’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

  By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my family members and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending GLTF programs or venues and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at a GLTF program or venue may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, GLTF volunteers and program participants and their families.

  I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my family members or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my family members may experience or incur in connection with attendance at GLTF venues or participation in GLTF programming (“Claims”). On my behalf, and on behalf of my family members, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless GLTF, its agents and representatives, from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of GLTF, its agents and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any GLTF program.

  Come celebrate Spring with our traditional super-fun doubles tournament:

  THE BUNNY HOP!!!

  The day will include PLENTY of tennis –
  followed by a Subway box lunch and awards!
  This is a socially-competitive event with something for every level.

  Saturday, July 20th, 9:00am - 12:00pm 

  San Francisco State University

  Hop on the courts for a round robin tennis competition. Your pair's team will be placed in divisions based on USTA rating: 3.0-3.5 players only needed. No gender restrictions – any pairing of two GLTF members is great, however both need to have no more than .5 difference in their USTA ratings. *This event has been rescheduled from Saturday March 30th due to rain** Upper Division Full** Afterwards during lunch, we’ll have awards for division winners and a prize for best bunny hop costume! (And of course we'll also have Peeps, chocolate eggs and more rabbit puns than a person could ever want!)

  Registration deadline is Sunday, July 7th. Sign up as a team (of two), with only one person completing the registration in the GLTF system.
