This fun + free Dodgeball event is a chance to learn about the Gay games and meet other local athletes. Fun costumes and silly team names are encouraged! No previous dodgeball experience is necessary. After party from 830pm-1130pm at Hi Tops Sports Bar!

The Gay Games started in SF thirty years ago, loosely based in the Olympics but instead of a country team, you are part of a city team. You march in together, have some kind of uniform (maybe just a T-shirt) and you support each other. Team SF helps sports clubs get information about the Gay Games, which happens every four years. It is sort of like a cheer leader, get clubs involved, passes on information about the games, travel, hotels etc. Team SF is usually one of the biggest teams at Gay Games and we always get to march in first in opening ceremonies!

Next Gay Games will be held in Cleveland in 2014.
